This skills and supervision group is exclusively for those who have completed the IAFT training.

Practicing skills through live demos and small group work, you will learn and practice skills such as:
Setting up an IAFT session do's and don'ts
How to implement attachment-based activities to help a child feel connected and cared for by their parent
How to help a child understand what their underlying wishes, motives, beliefs, and feelings are underneath their problem behaviors
How to facilitate a Deliberate Dialogue, which focuses on healthy communication and connection, between a parent and child
Guiding parents to avoid criticism and lectures in session
Keeping a child regulated and cooperative in session
Knowing when it's time to work with the parents in individual sessions
Helping parents in individual sessions to develop self-regulation and self-compassion
Guiding parents to set realistic boundaries with children
You will receive extra handouts, worksheets and articles related to the topics we discuss and practice.
